Job Description:
Milltown FC, the newest member club of the Canadian Soccer League, invites applications for the position of Equipment Manager. This is a non-paid internship position.
The equipment manager will be responsible for the following:
- Organization, maintenance, collection and distribution of all soccer and soccer-related equipment.
- Oversee laundry operations for team equipment.
- Set up and break down the locker room for each game.
- Keep an up to date inventory of player’s equipment and locker room supplies.
- Prepare player and team equipment for team travel.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by Milltown FC`s Director of Soccer Operations as needed
The successful applicant will be compensated for their efforts as follows:
- direct travel ̸ transportation costs will be paid (to a maximum of $100 per month)
- you will receive two (2) Milltown FC Season Passes for the 2010 season (valued at $140)
- you will receive your own set of official team merchandise (valued at $300)
- you will travel with the First Team to all away games (all costs covered by the club)
- you will receive two (2) tickets to the Milltown FC End of Year Awards Dinner
Requirements:
This is an ideal job for someone interested in pursuing a career in Sport or Recreation Management, or a related field. A background and interest in soccer is preferred.
Candidates will be required to attend most practice sessions and all home and away matches.
This position requires applicant to have daily interaction with coaches and professional athletes, therefore a professional repertoire must be adhered to.
Applicant must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Ideally, the applicant should reside in Milton or a nearby community. Priority will be given to applicants who either own a car or have regular access to a vehicle.
