Physicality and adaptability.

For all of their strengths last season, Milltown FC didn’t exactly exude these two assets.

Omar Jbaihi is determined to change that.

“Everyone wants to play the finesse game, but you’ve got to be able to adjust when that’s not possible,” stressed the second-year head coach, whose team faltered down the stretch last season after the injuries and physical toll taken in winning the League Cup in late August. The team begins Peel-Halton Soccer League Premier/First Division play just over two weeks, hoping to win the regular season title and get promoted to the Ontario Soccer League. “We had trouble adapting to different teams from game-to-game.”

Milltown FC Wins CPFL Futsal Championship

Milltown FC has set to the bar high this season, and this past weekend’s indoor championship serves only to bolster those lofty expectations.

The men’s soccer club — aiming to reign supreme in the Peel-Halton Soccer League’s Premier Division, after sitting first for significant stretches of last season — captured the Toronto Futsal League Men’s Open ranks title in York Sunday afternoon.

The 2013 Milltown FC match schedule is now confirmed.

We look forward to seeing our fans at our home games this season. We will have an exciting group of players this season as we strive to earn promotion to the Ontario Soccer League for 2014.

Our team will be competing in the PHSL Men’s Premier Division, as well as taking part in the Ontario Cup.


In the lead up to the new season, we are holding Open Tryouts in hopes of identifying a few players who have the skill and character required to earn a spot on our roster.
