Milton, ON – One week after suffering their first home field defeat of their inaugural Canadian Soccer League season, Milltown FC took to the Bishop Reding Field pitch looking to reignite their chase for 1st place in the league.
Toronto FC Academy provided the opposition on Sunday afternoon. When these two sides last met five weeks ago, the youthful TFC Academy squad capitalized on a Milltown FC defensive error to register the only goal of the game, snapping MFC’s nine game undefeated streak. Needless to say, the home team was looking for revenge on this day.

Milton, ON – Ten days after registering the club’s most one-sided victory in its short history, Milltown FC returned to the friendly confines of Bishop Reding Field in Milton for the first time in over a month.
MFC’s opponent for this homecoming fixture was Montreal Impact Academy. These two clubs previously faced each other on May 15th in Montreal, resulting in a scoreless draw.
Coming into this match, Milltown FC sat in 2nd place in the Canadian Soccer League table. Montreal, on the other hand, entered this fixture fighting to stay in contention for one of the final playoff spots.

St. Catharines, ON - A longer than expected layoff between matches turned out to be the perfect medicine for Milltown FC.
Milltown FC's match in Hamilton scheduled for August 15 had to be postponed due to a waterlogged pitch so MFC ended up with 10 days of rest ahead of a midweek fixture with St. Catharines Wolves at Club Roma and the team from Milton took full advantage of those fresh legs, scoring early and often en route to a 5-0 win.
Tristan Scott opened the scoring for Milltown just 3 minutes into the match. Gersi Xhuti's left footed blast from 18 yards out crashed off the crossbar and Scott, who was smartly trailing the play, jumped higher than the Wolves defender marking him to head home the rebound. It was Scott's 2nd goal of the year.
