Milton, ON - Milltown FC of the Canadian Soccer League's, proudly representing the Town of Milton, Ontario, is pleased to announce the signing of six new players to professional contracts. These six young men are all expected to be important contributors to the First Team in 2010.
The six newest members of Milltown FC are Agustin De Medina, Gersi Xhuti, Cordell Benjamin, Range Hussein, Erwin Balazs and Germain Sefa.
Agustin De Medina

De Medina, 20 years old, comes to Milltown FC after a successful rookie campaign in 2009 with Brampton Lions FC. This talented young midfielder / forward was not very well known going into last season, having only recently returned from Uruguay, where he had been a member of the Montevideo Wanderers FC youth academy for two years. However, it did not take long for Agustin to catch the eye of opposing coaches and players with his impressive play.
The Toronto, ON native was also an important member of Canada's 2009 Francophone Games (U20) National Team squad, appearing in 4 games in that tournament and scoring 1 goal. He was also recently called into Canada's U23 National Team training camp in Florida, where he took part in a friendly against Honduras' Senior National Team.

Gersi Xhuti

Xhuti, 18 years old, also brings Canadian Soccer League experience to the table, having been a regular starter for North York Astros in 2009.
Originally from Albania and a product of K.F. Dinamo Tirana's youth academy but now residing in Toronto, Xhuti is a creative left footed midfielder / forward with a powerful shot. In 10 appearances for Astros last season, he found the back of the net 3 times.

Cordell Benjamin

Bejamin, 20 years old, was discovered through the Open Tryouts that Milltown FC conducted in late March. The talented attacking midfielder caught the eye of Milltown's head coach Rafael Carbajal almost immediately and has been an impressive performer throughout training camp.
The Kitchener, ON native was a member of Cambridge P.C.C. Supersonics of the Ontario Soccer League for the past two seasons.

Range Hussein

Hussein, 21 years old and a Guelph, ON native, was also spotted at Milltown FC's Open Tryouts.
Despite some nagging injuries that have limited his participation in training camp, Hussein has impressed the club's coaching staff with his play when available and will be an important part of the club's midfield in its first season. He played most of his youth soccer with Guelph Royals SC (up to U21) and just returned to Canada after spending several months training with Al-Jazira Club of Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Erwin Balazs

Balazs, a 22 years old striker who was born in Romania and resides in Guelph , ON, is yet another player who came to Milltown FC's attention as a result of the 2-day Open Tryouts held 5 weeks ago.
Balazs is a hard working forward and has earned respect from the technical staff for his relentless playing style. He is a well known player in the Guelph soccer community, having been an integral member of several successful teams for Guelph Royals SC, including winning both the Ontario Cup at U17 and an Ontario Soccer League championship at U21.

Germain Sefa

Sefa, 22 years old, completes the list of new player signings from this past week. Like Benjamin, Hussein and Balazs, Sefa was also discovered through the Open Tryouts process.
The Mississauga, ON native is a strong and talented midfielder who has shown an ability to play a variety of positions on the field. His versatility and no nonsense style of play will be important to the club in its debut season.

Milltown FC has just two weeks of training camp left before the First Team travels to Montreal for its first ever CSL Match, taking on the Montreal Impact Academy at Stade Saputo. Milltown FC Director of Soccer Operations and Head Coach, Rafael Carbajal, is hard at work finalizing more new player signings.
