An injury-riddled Milltown FC dropped its second match of the season in Brampton Saturday night, falling 3-1 to West End United.
The much-improved hosts put the game away with goals at the 63rd and 77th-minute marks, while MFC needed a last-minute deposit by Nicolas Mejia — his fifth of the year — just to avoid the shutout. MFC was down to nine players by the end, and had its Peel-Halton Senior League-leading record drop to 11-2.

After a very successful 2011 season, Milltown FC has begun making preparations for 2012. The first, and most important, item on the club’s off-season “To Do” list was the naming of a new head coach to replace Rafael Carbajal, who resigned from the post last fall to become the Coach Development Manager at Oakville Soccer Club.
After several months of searching, Milltown FC is very pleased to name Omar Jbaihi as the club’s new head coach and will lead the club’s First Team, which was promoted to the Peel Halton Soccer League’s Elite Division for 2012.

Milltown FC bounced back from last week’s disappointing loss to local rival CNSC Karlovac Milton with a solid performance on Sunday, earning a 1-0 win over Brampton United at Bishop Reding Field.
Following a scoreless and fairly uneventful first half, Milltown FC forward (and Milton native) Juan Patarroyo scored a wonderful goal in the 55th minute, executing a lovely bicycle kick inside the 6 yard box to give MFC the only goal it needed on the day. It was Patarroyo’s second goal of the season and one of the nicest goals the team has scored all year. The home side had quite a few more chances in the second half but Milltown struggled a bit in the final third of the field and were unable to do any more damage.
